"Knowledge For College" is a community program started in 2015 with the aim of bring Jewish teens together during the critical pre-college period to investigate together some important and relevant Jewish topics they can bring with them to college. Teens will walk away more EDUCATED about our complex relationship to Israel, as well as better understanding the anti-Israel narrative heard on college campuses by various groups supporting the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement, as well as learn how to identify and combat the rise in anti-semitic rhetoric.
Knowledge For College aims to EMPOWER teens to be well informed advocates of Israel and their Jewish heritage, and to further explore their Jewish identity as they embark on the college journey.
Knowledge For College PREPARES pre-college teens to think about how, and why, they want to be involved in Jewish student life on whatever college campus they end up attending.
Knowledge For College is funded by Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County and supported by Congregation B'nai Israel with collaborating partners: Jewish Federation & Family Services, Jerusalem U, OC Hillel and The Rose Project, The Anti-Defamation League, and AEPi.
